About Me
I am here to listen. There are many important parts to psychotherapy, but they all begin with listening, being listened to, and learning to listen to ourselves.

I have a background in education and have taught in classrooms from 1st grade through university courses, including courses in humanities, leadership development, poetry and feminist philosophy.

I have a Master's degree in Counseling Therapy and practiced for 15 years before taking time off for family and further studies. My doctoral research is developing a theory of "becoming" that begins with listening to trauma.

I love to read, to bicycle, to paddle-board, to laugh. I'm no stranger to tears, my own and those of others, professionally or among family and friends. I have lived and traveled nationally and internationally, lived in big cities as well as in a small mountain community.
I love to walk. Augustine tells us that "Walking is a continual stumbling forward." And Hillel says the following: "I get up. I walk. I fall down.
Meanwhile, I keep dancing." These seem about right for our day as well.
In this exceptionally difficult time for all of us, I offer a time and a place to explore your personal and relational concerns, including those from the past and present, as well as those that are about your place and purpose in the days to come. Because we will get through this.

I am currently working in a private open-air office and on Zoom. And I am open to other creative suggestions.
While this website will be under construction for the next several weeks, my office is open, and the contact form at the bottom is available for your use. Please feel free to get in touch with me with any questions you may have.
Thank you,
Kathleen
